Our Story
Founder and Baker, Michael Diamond has been involved in animal rescue since he attended Warren Wilson College near Asheville, North Carolina in the 1990's. Michael has rescued, fostered, and found forever homes for hundreds of dogs and cats; many for Social Tees Animal Rescue in New York, City.
Professionally, Michael has baked, was a social worker in HIV/AIDS, gardened/Landscaped and worked as a bartender in NYC. He spent much of his spare time volunteering with animal rescue groups and Gods Love We Deliver. Michael has recently relocated to Savannah, Georgia. Good mixology and baking go hand in hand and Michael's love of fresh ingredients and interesting flavor combinations have contributed to his success as a bartender in some of New York City's most popular and renowned bars and restaurants. He has worked at the Cubbyhole Bar, River Cafe, The Art Bar, and is currently at Calhoun Street Tavern in Bluffton, South Carolina.
Well reviewed on Yelp! and encouraged by many bar patrons who know to ask for whatever may have been baked that day, Michael decided to offer his baked treats to the public to provide additional help to the fostering program at Social Tees. Currently, we are transitioning to support Renegade Paws Animal Rescue in Savannah, Georgia.
At home, in addition to the foster dogs, he has a border collie puppy mut, a cairn terrier mut, a cat, and a turtle; all rescues.

All products are baked in a rented industrial kitchen that has passed health code regulations and inspections. Products are not produced in peanut safe kitchens and many of our products contain nuts. Sweet Charity Bakery uses fresh ingredients, mostly organic and bought locally. We do not use preservatives. Products should be kept in a cool dry place and be consumed within five days of purchase.
